The Hungarian police arrested an Albanian national suspected of smuggling drugs, weapons and people out of Albania under a Serbian-issued international warrant, the Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) said in a press release on Thursday.

It said that the man suspected of heading an organized crime group was arrested as part of operations to break up an organized crime group. Two others were arrested earlier and a kilogram of heroin was seized.

The police operation resulted in the arrest of four members of the organized crime group in June along with 5 Kosovo Albanians and the seizure of large amounts of drugs, weapons and vehicles.
