Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac is reported to have told that session that she had confirmation of prosecutors meeting with state security agency (BIA) agents just prior to the repeat vote for new members of the High Prosecutorial Council and that they were asked to vote for certain candidates. According to the opposition, the regime is trying to take control of the Council which has influence over all prosecutors. Dolovac said she was told what happened at the BIA by the chief prosecutor of the Appeals Prosecution in Kragujevac Milijana Doncic.
The TOK press release said that prosecutors began questioning witnesses on Tuesday as part of their investigation.
