Osmani in New York: Dialogue to end in mutual recognition

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani met in New York with US Department of State Counselor Derek Chollet and US Western Balkans envoy Gabriel Escobar and reiterated the request “for the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia to end in mutual recognition.”

At the meeting with senior US officials, President Osmani discussed the latest developments in the region and beyond as well as further cooperation towards the advancement of Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration, as a prerequisite for long-term stability, said a press release issued by Osmani’s office.

In New York, I met with 🇺🇸 State Dept Counselor Chollet and DAS Escobar to discuss Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic integration, which I stressed is a must for enduring stability.

“She emphasized the need to move forward with the dialogue process with Serbia, focused on mutual recognition. President Osmani stressed the need for Serbia to implement its obligations arising from the agreement on the energy roadmap and the urgent need to achieve success in terms of the agreement on the forcibly disappeared,” said the press release.
