Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani told a meeting with Albanian Foreign Minister Olta Xhacka that the strengthening of relations between the two countries is aimed at easing the lives of their citizens, Beta reported.
President Osmani and Minister Xhacka also discussed the bolstering of coordination in foreign policy toward the strengthening of Kosovo’s international subjectivity, the security situation in Kosovo and in the region, said a press release issued by Osmani’s office.
“President Osmani emphasized the determination of Kosovo’s institutions for the Euro-Atlantic path, as well as membership in the Council of Europe and other international organizations,” said Osmani’s office.
The Albanian president stressed that Kosovo’s institutions continue to be fully committed to peace, security and the rule of law throughout the whole territory of Kosovo.
Osmani accused Serbia of continuously working on Kosovo’s destabilization via “its illegal structures in the north,” but noted that Kosovo continues to play a constructive role in the dialogue with Serbia, which should be focused on mutual recognition.
