Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani thanked Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Tanja Fajon at a meeting in Pristina for the support Slovenia has given and continues to give Kosovo.
Osmani’s office said the Kosovo President described relations with Slovenia as very friendly, and emphasized Slovenia’s support “for Kosovo’s development and its international integration.”
“Kosovo is committed to peace and stability, while Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration remains its primary goal,” said Osmani and asked for Slovenia’s support “for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic path and membership in other international organizations.”
The two officials voiced their determination to deepen cooperation between Slovenia and Kosovo, and discussed the situation in north Kosovo and “the Kosovo institutions’ efforts to establish law and order.”
Osmani said that, in the dialogue with Serbia, “Kosovo continues to be the constructive party but that, by means of obstruction and by using criminal groups in the north of the country, Serbia is trying to destabilize Kosovo and is hindering the dialogue.”
