She stressed that the Brussels agreement of 27 February 2023 and the Ohrid annex of 18 March 2023 “must be fully implemented,” said a press release from the Kosovo President’s office, KoSSev reported.
On the other hand, Osmani also told Lajcak that the European Union (EU) should lift the measures against Kosovo, noting that they are “unfair and create a lack of balance in the dialogue.”
The Kosovo President said she told the EU envoy that Kosovo has “offered” to organize new elections in the north, “in accordance with Kosovo’s legal framework,” that is, that it has adopted an administrative instruction.
She said she expects this process to be carried out “without delay and in compliance with the procedures and legislation in force.”
Osmani and Lajcak also discussed the latest “achievements” regarding the implementation of the agreement on energy and license plates, and the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, said the press release.
They also touched upon the topic of the draft statute for the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM) produced by the “Western five.”
Osmani said the Constitutional Court of Kosovo is “the only institution that can conclusively interpret the conformity of this act with the Constitution.”
However, she expressed her concerns regarding “certain” provisions of this draft, which, she said, may prove as “challenging in its implementation in practice.”
