
Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said that she discussed developments in the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue with senior state department officials in New York.
Her post on X (formerly Twitter) said that she met with State Department Counselor Derek Chollet and Deputy Assistant Secretary Gabriel Escobar. “Stressed the importance of a principled approach to full and balanced implementation of agreements and that the US role is key to successfully conclude the process, paving the way for mutual recognition,” she wrote.
Kosovo officials come to New York during General Assembly sessions reportedly to lobby for recognition and membership in the UN.
