Outgoing Prime Minister Milos Vucevic warned on Tuesday that the authorities will “crush any attempted coup d’etat and colored revolution”.

He said the state has a monopoly on use of force as “the basic legal definition of a state and all citizens of Serbia will be protected”. He warned anyone who thinks they can come to Serbia to cause chaos that they won’t do well. “If you come to create chaos in our state you will answer in line with the law. Best stay home,” Vucevic said.

He said the person who assaulted a policeman during the protest at the state TV (RTS) has to be found urgently, adding he expects the MPs who, he claimed, caused violence in parliament to be held accountable.
