Outgoing Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Thursday that she would lend her support to fellow Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) official Milos Vucevic if he is chosen to form the new government.

“I will gladly give up my place to Vucevic if he becomes prime minister and will go my utmost to pass on my experience and help,” she told the pro-government TV Prva.

President Aleksandar Vucic said recently that Brnabic and Novi Sad Mayor Vucevic were on the short list for the prime minister designate.

Brnabic said that Vucevic brought a lot of foreign investors to Novi Sad for the first time in the past 30 years and turned the northern Serbian city into an example for youth policies.

“There is no hostility (in the SNS). We discussed who would stay on my team if I remain prime minister but that isn’t important now,” she said.
