Residents of Pancevo were warned of drinking water pollution in some of the city’s outlying villages because of an incident at the local refinery.
Residents of the southern villages were told not to use tap water for drinking or cooking in a statement released at around 11 am, the local 013info.rs portal said.
A statement from the water supply company later in the day said the water was good to use again.
The refinery provided no details about the incident.
