Miroslav Aleksic, deputy leader of the People's Party, announced he would file criminal charges and lawsuits against the owner of the Jovanjica farm Predrag Koluvija and his lawyer Vladimir Djukanovic, for “notorious lies” about him trying to organise “a coup together with the police and prosecutors” and that he “participated in a conspiracy.”

“We have been witnessing for days an unprecedented miracle of the broadcast of special shows on regime TV channels with Koluvija and Djukanovic, surrounded by icons, telling lies and overturning truth in order to present the one suspected of drug production as a saint, patriot, national hero, and to demonise those who discovered and arrested the criminal group and to accuse them of a coup,” said Aleksic.

He accused Vukanovic of breaching the attorneys' codes of ethics because he took the role of the show host and presented Koluvija's defence.

“Djukanovic, who claims to be a lawyer and not a politician, should know that he performs the duty of the chairman of the Serbian Parliament's Judiciary Committee, based on which he is a member of the High Judicial Council and the State Prosecutors' Council, which provides him with the opportunity to evaluate the work of the judges,” said Aleksic.
