A petition has been launched in Great Britain asking the UK Government to allow Serbian citizens to visit the UK for up to 90 days without a visa.

Over 1,600 British citizens signed the petition in the first 24 hours, reported the Serbian state TV (RTS).

If 10,000 signatures are collected, British Prime Minster Rishi Sunak’s Government will have to respond to the petition.

If 100,000 people sign the petition it will be considered for debate in the UK Parliament.

Most of the signatories are from London and the Midlands, where the largest Serb communities are located, yet a significant number of signatures was also collected in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast.

The petition was launched by Mihaela Mitrovic, architect and neuroscience engineer with a master’s degrees in aesthetics from Oxford who was, until recently, Director of Strategy and Development at the Department of Experimental Psychology at Oxford.
