Petition to dismiss Mitrovica mayor submitted

The KoSSev news portal said that the petition was handed in to the CIK by Mitrovica North municipal assembly president Nedzad Ugljanin. The petition to dismiss Mayor Erden Atic was launched last week.

Petitions were submitted to dismiss the mayors of the four majority-Serb north Kosovo municipalities (Mitrovica North, Leposavic, Zubin Potok and Zvecan) who were elected in a vote boycotted by the local Serbs. The Kosovo government issued instructions saying that the mayors could be dismissed by petition.

The only petition that has not been filed yet is for the dismissal of the mayor of Zvecan.
