Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that the first 100 days of her new cabinet were focused on drafting the 2023 budget, resolving the energy crisis, completing constitutional reform and the constant instability and attacks on Serbs in Kosovo.

Brnabic told the media in the southern Serbia town of Lebane that the main message for this year is that 2023 will be difficult and challenging, which is why ministers need to spend as much time with the public as possible, to hear them out, and for the people to see their ministers.

“I think that imposing sanctions on Russia is the main condition and the European Union won’t open new clusters or chapters without that,” Brnabic said.

Commenting the challenges that the Government faces, the Prime Minister said she knows some will say that the budget is not the biggest success, but added that Serbia’s growth, development, living standard and investments all depend on the budget.

The second major challenge is energy, the way we faced the global energy crisis, said Brnabic, noting that her Government dedicated a great deal of effort to this.

The third major challenge is the rule of law and the constitutional reform process that we completed on Thursday by adopting a series of judicial laws, she said.

The fourth is the constant instability, provocations and attacks on Serbs in Kosovo, and the difficult 100 days that were shouldered by President Aleksandar Vucic, all of which impacted the Government’s work, said the Prime Minister.
The Serbian Government marked Friday its first 100 days with a visit to southern Serbia.
