PM Macut meets with Belgrade University Rector Djokic

“The meeting was held in an open and constructive atmosphere with the attendance of Education Minister Associate Professor Dr Dejan Vuk Stankovic and Science, Technological Development and Innovation Minister Academy member Professor Dr Bela Balint,” the statement said.

It added that apart from Rector Djokic, the meeting was also attended by Belgrade University Deputy Dean for Finances Zorica Vujic and Deputy Rector Dejan Popovic.

Minister Stankovic’s staff told the FoNet news agency that he was at important meetings during the protest against his appointment at the Education Ministry.

Rector Djokic was questioned by the police last week after charges were filed blaming him for the blockade of the country’s universities. Earlier, Djokic stood up in support of the students and their demands at a parliament committee meeting chaired by Speaker Ana Brnabic.
