Macut told the Serbian state television (RTS) that November 1 is more than just a date on the calendar, and that the day should be marked in a dignified and peaceful manner.

He said the state will strive to maintain order on the streets and ensure a sense of security for all citizens.

“We cannot remain passive when we see destruction, demolition, or attacks on property and buildings. That would be a sign of the state’s weakness,” the prime minister said.
