Artist Andrej Josifovski, who goes by the street artist name Pianist, was detained by the police on Tuesday outside the Serbian Parliament building in Belgrade for spraying graffiti.

On the pedestal of a monument outside the Parliament Pianist wrote: “Mom, how come horses have saddled up people?!”

Radomir Lazovic, who heads the Serbia Against Violence parliamentary election ticket, wrote on Facebook that Josifovski painted the graffiti using artificial show spray, which is easy to remove.

He added that the police put a piece of cardboard over the graffiti to cover it.

Josifovski is known for his unusual and controversial installations.

The Go-Change organization said in a post on the X social media platform that Josifovski was released from detention later in the day.
