Police in Belgrade on Tuesday evening once again detained Milomir Jacimovic, a transport operator from the village of Djurdjevo.

Oglas

Jacimovic had traveled to Belgrade, transporting citizens and students from Novi Sad who wished to reach the Serbian Parliament to show support for Dijana Hrka.

Dijana Hrka, mother of Stefan Hrka – one of the victims of the November 1, 2024, Novi Sad disaster – began a hunger strike in front of the Serbian Parliament in Belgrade on Sunday. She is demanding justice for her son and all victims of the Novi Sad canopy collapse, the release of all detained students, and the calling of elections.

Jacimovic was stopped by police near the Belgrade Law School after officers denied his bus access to the Serbian Parliament. Following the arrival of a large number of citizens to support him, an agreement was reached with police for him to park the bus near the nearby Fifth Grammar School, and his keys would be returned.

However, after he parked the vehicle at the agreed location, the bus keys were confiscated, and he was detained and taken in for questioning. A woman who said she was his legal representative then drove to the police station after him.

Police had previously confiscated another bus from Jacimovic.
