Police question university professor Stojkovic over post on X

As she said after the questioning, the reason for her being summoned was a June 29 social media post in which she called for barricades across Serbia.

“They are accusing me of inciting violence and fighting. This whole thing originated from the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office and (chief prosecutor) Nenad Stefanovic. I see this as intimidation and punishment for what happened outside the Faculty of Law, so they started with intimidation tactics,” said Stojkovic.

The professor said she told the police that the struggle will continue and as well as that professors will continue to stand with their students.

“This regime is over,” she said.

Students, Stojkovic’s colleagues and members of the general public assembled on Monday morning outside the Internal Affairs Ministry building to show support for Stojkovic, who was summoned for questioning regarding high-tech crime.

The summons came after the professor defended students on the night of July 2, when police brutally beat students in front of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade.
