Police raid Belgrade’s Student Culture Center

Acting SKC CEO Slavoljub Veselinovic of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) was present during the raid.

The Belgrade University students took over the building on February 12.

The SKC has been known for decades as a place of arts and music, hosting popular artists for their exhibitions, concerts, film screenings and performances.

Education Minister Dejan Vuk Stankovic visited the SKC later in the day, saying he saw trash all over the place and claimed that some audio equipment was missing. He said the SKC should be reconstructed as a conceptual exhibition titled Two Faces of the Colored Revolution in Serbia.
