Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry members confiscated approximately 5.5 kilograms of heroin and arrested one person on suspicion of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotics.
“Officers from the Internal Affairs Ministry’s Criminal Police Department seized about 5.5 kilograms of heroin in Belgrade and arrested S.B. (52) for allegedly producing and trafficking narcotic drugs,” the Ministry said in a press release.
Police discovered the narcotics during a search of the suspect’s apartment and vehicle.
S.B. has been detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought before the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, along with a criminal complaint, the Ministry said.
