Police seize lion cub in northern Serbia

An Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) press release said that officers of the Ecological Crime Prevention unit filed charges against two men for the smuggling of the animal following searches of apartments in Subotica and Belgrade. The police said they found a python in one of the residences. The press release said that the lion cub was traded between the two men.

Both animals were seized and placed in care.
