Politician says Kosovo police beat Serb youths

Aleksandar Arsenijevic, leader of the Serb Democracy party, said that he witnessed what he called police brutality against the young men on the night of Monday-Tuesday. “The police beat the young men for 10 minutes,” he wrote in social media posts. According to him, the police also arrested a man who stepped out of a cafe to record the incident with his phone.

Kosovo Police Region North chief Petrit Fejza confirmed the arrests, claiming that they assaulted two police officers. He said that the three drunk youths assaulted two police officers in a pedestrian area of Mitrovica North, allegedly injuring a policeman.
