Almost 90 percent of young Serbians support the student protests according to a poll by the National Youth Council of Serbia (KOMS).

The poll showed that 89.6 percent of young Serbians support the protests and 94.5 percent support their demands. Just 3.1 percent had a very negative view of the protests and just under 2 percent said they do not support the demands. A total of 90 percent support the university blockades and 76 percent support high school blockades.

The poll also showed that 92 percent of young people would vote only if the students called them to turn out. The KOMS poll showed that young Serbians are now showing twice as much interest in political events as they did in 2020. Last year’s poll showed that 72 percent of young people said they would vote.

The percentage of young people who think Serbia needs a strong leader dropped from 58 percent last year to 33 percent in 2025 with 95 percent saying they have a negative view of the authorities’ reactions to the student protests.
