“VINCI is seeking a solution to highly aggressive unlicensed taxi drivers in its arrivals hall and around the airport site who prey on foreigners unaware of standard taxi rates, which has been a long-running issue,” the portal said adding that those drivers have not been put off their aggressive behavior by the taxi booth issuing vouchers.
Ex-Yu Aviation News sad that Vinci has told the Serbian authorities that it could ban all taxis from the airport and replace them with its own service which would have exclusive rights to shuttle passengers.
The portal recalled that the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure said in December that it would remove unlicensed taxi drivers from the airport.
