The organizers said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will address the rally on Saturday.

At the site, barriers and green trash cans have been set up, and trucks are delivering portable toilets. N1’s reporter on the scene said no tents have yet been erected.

Nis journalists Tamara Radovanovic told N1 she hopes the city stays as clean after the SNS rally as it was following the March 1 large student protest held there. She noted that there is no official information on the program of the rally.

Radovanovic added that she thinks there are many people in Nis who are not thrilled about the SNS coming to their city.

The municipal inspection of the city of Nis Medijana municipality issued an order to dismantle the stage at a central city square in the city, which, according to a post on X by doctor and local civic group leader Dragan Milic, was erected without the necessary permits.

“The SNS group’s violation of laws and regulations continues… That is why our city looks like a war zone and a ruin, and our homeland resembles the Wild West,” Milic wrote.
