President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday that munitions produced by the Serbian defense industry do end up in combat zones across the world.

The Serbian authorities have been accused of exporting munitions to Ukraine through third parties. Official Belgrade has denied the claims.

“I have no doubts that some of our ammunition will end up on the Russian or Ukrainian sides…. It will end up in Sudan. I am sure it has,” he said in a live appearance on TV Prva.

Vucic said that Serbia has weapons plants which have to operate. “We almost have no exports of weapons because our demands are great for our industry. We are currently making more than 200 pieces of heavy weaponry for our military,” he said.
