Pristina daily says Lajcak invited negotiators to Brussels


Pristina daily Express said on Wednesday that the chief negotiators from Belgrade and Pristina have been invited to Brussels by European Union envoy Miroslav Lajcak.
It said that Kosovo deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi and the head of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo Petar Petkovic were invited to Brussels next week after the Pristina authorities and EU reached an agreement on a de-escalation of the situation in north Kosovo which included the meeting with the chief negotiators.
EU spokeswoman Zoï Muletier is quoted as telling the daily that the chief negotiators are expected to continue talks on implementing the latest agreement to normalize relations. She also expressed the hope that agreement will be reached on the next steps to implement the agreement.
Express said that the Kosovo government said that implementation will begin if Bislimi and Petkovic reach an agreement.
