The Higher Public Prosecution in Belgrade appealed the Higher Court decision to release Kosovo Serb Milan Radoicic.

The Prosecution said in a reply to N1 that it asked the court to overrule the decision and grant its request for detention because Radoicic represents a flight risk. A ruling on the appeal will be taken by a panel at the Higher Court in Belgrade within 48 hours.

Radoicic was arrested and interrogated on October 3 and was ordered into detention for 48 hours but was released the next day by the court. He was questioned about the armed incident at the Banjska monastery in northern Kosovo when a policeman and three armed and uniformed Kosovo Serbs were killed.
