Prosecutor says all threats will be prosecuted

Serbian officials have claimed that hundreds of threats and posts in support of the mass shootings at a Belgrade school and two villages have been discovered on social media in the past few days.

Prosecutor Branko Stamenkovic said that even the slightest threat posted on social networks would be investigated fully, including determining where it was posted from and the perpetrators arrested. “It is absolutely time to end that behavior, he told pro-government daily Politika.

“Do not follow the demented, do not follow violent sites, groups and posts. Do not think that violence is cool. Don’t wake up too late because that can be painful,” the prosecutor said.

He said that people posting threats face jail sentences of 2 to 12 years.
