Chief Prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade Nenad Stefanovic warned that violence will not be tolerated during protests in Belgrade.

He urged those planning to participate in the protest set for August 10 to exercise their right to peaceful assembly in accordance with the Constitution and Serbian laws.

“Everyone has the right to peaceful assembly, but violence in Belgrade will not be tolerated, and those who engage in it will face legal consequences,” Stefanovic said.

He called on protest participants to respect public order and refrain from any form of violent behavior.
