The Higher Public Prosecution in Novi Sad said on Wednesday that 66 people were questioned about the collapse of a roof at the city’s railway station that killed 14 people.
The canopy roof collapsed on November 1, killing 14 and injuring 3 people. The tragedy prompted demands for resignations and accountability as well as protests in Novi Sad and Belgrade. Several people were arrested during the protest in Novi Sad.
The prosecution said another 5 people have to be questioned, adding that forensic construction experts were still investigating. It said that responsibility will be established once the experts finish their investigation.
