A public protest was staged in front of three pro-regime media outlets in central Belgrade on Monday.

The Line of Shame protest walk took the crowd from the offices of Vecernje Novosti, to Kurir to Politika daily.

At the first stop, people put up stickers on Vecernje Novosti windows which said Rats before walking to the nearby offices of Kurir tabloid daily whose owners put up a fence around the entrance to the building. People left cutouts of red hands on the fence (You Have Bloody Hands is one of the slogans chanted by protesters since the Novi Sad Railway Station disaster). The crowd carried a large banner saying Shame on You.

The crowd shouted You Are Lousy in front of the Politika building in response to a article which claimed that lice had infested Belgrade University schools.

One of the protesters told an N1 reporter that Monday’s protest continues on last Saturday’s protest in front of the pro-regime tabloid and TV Informer. He said the idea is to remind those media that private editorial policy does not mean a lack of responsibility, adding that there have been a lot of articles targeting students over the past few days.
