Students and their supporters blocked off the Basic Court in the western Serbian city of Novi Pazar on Monday, demanding the release of two young men accused of assaulting police officers.
A total of 10 young men were arrested and charged with assaulting the police during incidents at the city’s State University on July 29.
The protesters said they would come back every day until the youths are released, local Radio Sto Plus reported. One of the speakers said that the young men who supported students being assaulted by thugs late at night are in jail while the thugs are free.
