The informal association ‘Ecological Uprising’ organized a protest in front of the building of Serbia’s public broadcaster on Saturday over "shameful videos" of the Rio Tinto ore exploration company, demanding that the broadcasting be stopped immediately.
Aleksandar Jovanovic Cuta from the Defend the Rivers of Stara Planina movement accused Serbia’s authorities and Rio Tinto of carrying out a „joint criminal enterprise“ and urged RTS to immediately remove the company’s video advertising the excavation of jadarite in the country.

He said that police is currently in the RTS building, arguing that this is unnecessary because protesters are not trying to break in.
Jovanovic urged everyone employed at RTS to go on strike the moment the video is broadcast again. He warned that if anyone in power started attacking people leading local protests, the association would „declare a general mobilization and block Serbia.“
