Protests in Nis, Novi Pazar

Na N1 reporter in Nis said the half-hour march was peaceful, adding that the protesters did not march past the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) offices but chose to pelt eggs at President Aleksandar Vucic’s Movement for the People and State.

One of the protesters said that there was no police presence because they had been sent to Novi Sad.

In Novi Pazar, protesters voiced support for the gathering in Novi Sad. The crowd marched through the center of the city carrying a large banner saying Citizens With Students.

The protesters stood for the 16 Minutes of Silence in memory of the victims of the tragedy at Novi Sad Railway Station last November. The crowd did not march to the SNS offices.

A crowd also gathered in the city of Prijepolje among other places.
