Protests in Uzice and Kragujevac

In Uzice, a large crowd of local people staged a protest in support of a shopkeeper whose store was closed by inspectors. The inspectors tried to close the store a day earlier but were chased away by a crowd. Lawyers said that the inspectors broke the law at least twice during the alleged inspection. Videos of both events were posted on social media.

In Kragujevac, high school seniors from the 1st Grammar School staged a protest through the center of the city. Their protest under the slogan Oh So Awake was staged in support of university students marching from across the country to Novi Sad for the 1st anniversary of the railway station tragedy which claimed 16 lives on November 1. That high school was among the first to start the blockade protests last year. The new generation of seniors were handed a megaphone by the graduated generation. They stood for the 16 Minutes of Silence at a major intersection.
