"We are still calling on citizens, especially the elderly and chronic patients, to adhere to all preventive measures, and to get vaccinated,” she said, adding that the fourth vaccine shot should further strengthen the immune response.

"The protection is better if we take the fourth dose now," Jovanovic told the state TV RTS.

She pointed out that the method of protection still remains the same and that this includes distance, wearing a mask if distance cannot be provided, and vaccination.

Serbia has abolished the covid pass since last weekend and there are no longer any limitations to the number of people allowed indoors. Averagely, about 2,000 people are infected per day in Serbia.
