Torrential rain caused large numbers of people to leave the rally organized by the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in central Belgrade.

The crowd started gathering in front of the Serbian parliament building hours before the gathering was due to start at 7 pm. Thousands of people were in the crowd as the rain started falling and continued for more than an hour, opening umbrellas of all colors and sheltering under a huge Serbian flag.

People sheltered alongside nearby buildings and under trees in the park which lies between parliament and the Serbian Presidency building. As the rain got worse people started leaving to find shelter in restaurants and cafes.
