Refugee Commissariat: Homes for all refugee families within five years
Serbian Commissioner for Refugees and Migration Natasa Stanisavljevic said that another 8,860 refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia have not solved their housing problem in Serbia.
She stressed that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said that the housing problem of all refugee families will be solved within the next five years.
“Support is important to these families because Serbia is their home. The state is there for them so they wouldn’t have to worry about having money for rent, or about having a roof over their head. We are actively working on a new care plan,” Stanisavljevic told the pro-regime Pink TV.
She noted that this year the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration provided housing solutions for some 820 families, with the European Union (EU) being the biggest donor.
