The Serbian Screenwriters’ Association condemned the assault on its official Maja Pelevic by an unidentified man in the park outside the Presidency building where regime supporters have been camping for days.
A press release said she was assaulted from behind and her telephone grabbed from her while she was recording the mess made in the public park by the regime supporters. She managed to grab back her phone, it said and added that the video evidence of the assault survived.
The Association said uniformed police at the scene refused to help her identify the attacker and warned the public to avoid the area around the park because the police won’t protect anyone from the regime supporters.
