Members of the Serbian Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM) Council toured N1 TV today as part of the decision-making procedure to allocate national frequency licenses.
The members of the REM Council were informed about the station’s technical and production capacities. They also had an opportunity to ask questions about N1 TV’s resources.
Earlier, N1 Program Director Igor Bozic told a presentation of the station’s plans at the REM headquarters that the station will meet the criteria for all other content such as science, children’s programs, culture and education. “We should get the national frequency because of our independent reporting and credibility which all of Serbia deserves to see. N1 journalists have won more than 40 journalism awards which separates us from other TV stations,” he said.
The REM delegation will also tour the other stations that applied for national frequency licenses.
The REM Council said earlier that it would decide on the four licenses before August 4 when the existing licenses expire.
