Repositioned deputy higher public prosecutors Jasmina Paunovic and Bojana Savovic, who publicly spoke about the reasons for their dismissal, received the Contribution of the Year to Europe award presented by the European Movement in Serbia on the occasion of the Europe Day under the slogan “We are Stronger Together.”
If we need to we will prove that we will protect legality, the Constitution, ourselves, our integrity and our professionalism, said Paunovic.
Savovic said the award was an incentive for the fight that she and her colleague led and are still leading, as well as for the one that awaits them.
From my first days as a prosecutor I have believed in European values related to strong and transparent institutions that have an obligation to do their job, said Savovic.
I believe in responsibility for doing and not doing, I believe in the rule of law and legal state, in those European values, and I will give my best to in future defend these values as I have been doing so far, she added.
