RFE: Russian activist left Serbia after he was banned from entering the country

Zernov came to Belgrade from Germany to attend the trial on November 6 regarding the attack on him that took place at the beginning of the year in the capital of Serbia, but he was detained at Nikola Tesla Airport, reports Radio Free Europe.

On November 4, he told RFE/RL that he handed over his passport to a police officer at the border post, after which he was sent to a waiting room where he was handed a document banning him from entering Serbia.

"They didn't explain to me why. They just told me: 'You know,'" Zerov told the journalists.

On his Facebook account, Zernov also published the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) on him not being allowed to enter Serbia.

The ministry did not respond to an inquiry about this case.
