Road block after student almost run over

The road block was staged as a protest after a female student was almost run over by a driver in front of their university school during the 16 Minutes of Silence tribute to the victims of the Novi Sad Railway Station disaster.

An Instagram post recalled that Tuesday is the 5th month since the disaster which claimed 16 lives. “On this day, during the 16 Minutes of Silence in front of the FON, our fellow student was almost run over. This happened in front of the police,” it said and added that it’s high time for state institutions to take the safety of students seriously since this was not the first incident involving angry drivers.

FON student orderlies told an N1 reporter that they organized the road block protest at the Trosarina roundabout but added that a lot of other people, including bikers, were there with them.
