Crowds of people blocked roads in Belgrade and other places across Serbia on Monday, forcing the police to “waste time” to remove them.

In the Serbian capital’s Zemun neighborhood, local residents pushed garbage containers and fencing onto a main intersection to block traffic. Police with face masks showed up ordering them to remove the barricade or be moved away. The crowd pulled away from the advancing police cordon who were not in riot gear to avoid contact. That crowd later moved to an intersection without traffic lights and walked in circles across pedestrian crossings while the police looked on from the shade of a tree.
The police also removed a road block in the central Dorcol neighborhood, causing an incident with an N1 crew. A police officer shoved an N1 cameraman several times but failing to prevent them from reporting. Police officers demanded to see personal ID cards but members of the crowd refused the order, demanding to know the reason. Police officers threatened to arrest them all.
Similar road blocks have been taking place across Serbia at main roads and intersections.
There were some arrests on Monday with at least one group of police in plain clothes allegedly identified on social media after making an arrest. The 3 police officers were confronted by the crowd and walked away without saying anything to shouts of traitors. The practice of identifying and publishing the names of hooligans and alleged undercover police officers has been going on almost since the start of the protests.
