“All desks, field reporters, including young associates, as well as technical and production crews, through no fault of their own, have been placed in a situation where they lack the protection necessary to carry out their duties normally,” the RTS said on its website.

The public broadcaster thanked viewers who “continue to rely on the RTS in large numbers for information,” while apologizing for being forced to significantly reduce its programming.
