Russia's and Serbia's army in joint anti-terrorist exercise

The training will last through May 25 and will include parachuting and destruction of the illegal military formation.

There are also plans to practice small arms shooting.

At the opening ceremony, the two sides stressed the importance of joint exercises to develop cooperation between the special units of the two countries' armed forces in the fight against terrorism.

In September last year, Serbia's Government decided to suspend all military exercises and activities with all partners in the next six months to preserve the position of military neutrality.

Based on that decision, Serbia cancelled its participation in the joint military exercise with Russia and Belarus, the "Slavic Brotherhood", amid anti-government demonstrations against Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
