SafeJournalists condemns death threats against N1 reporter

“SafeJournalists sharply condemns the threats against the journalist. The network calls Serbian institutions to find, process and punish those responsible,” a press release said.

It said that institutions should send a clear message that this kind of behavior is unacceptable.

“We want to tell the public that online threats are as dangerous as threats spoken out loud and that everyone is responsible for what they write on social networks,” it said.

Tatalovic received death threats on Twitter over the past few days. The posts included offensive remarks. Tatalovic is known for the critical attitude in her reporting.

The SafeJournalists network said it would inform all relevant national and interenational organizations about the threats.
