SBB’s CTO Tomislav Petrovic told the latest issue of PC Press magazine that the company focused on the quality of its services and client satisfaction including its youngest clients.

“Along with innovations, we took care to develop our team which has grown by 1,000 people over the past 10 years as well as the quality of our services and client satisfaction which is now at the level of leading global telco companies,” he said, adding that SBB has also devoted attention to its youngest clients by developing EON Kids which is intended only for children and EON Kids remotes. “We introduced EON Connect last year, an app to manage household Internet and online safety for children.

According to Petrovic, SBB’s goal from the start was to introduce innovations and get the market moving. He said that the company succeeded, citing client satisfaction and the awards it won. SBB said in January that an Ookla report said that it provides the fastest Internet speed and best network in Serbia. “A lot has been said over the past two years about the importance of the Internet and access speeds. The company engineering department has done a lot to provide clients with the best services and we managed to do that despite the challenges, winning global recognition. SBB won awards for the fastest Internet and best network in Serbia in Q3 and Q4 of 2021 based on two million tests on broadband users both cable and optical as well as WiFi done using the Ookla Speedtest,” Petrovic said.

“SBB was the first to bring innovations to the Serbian market and has kept the quality of its services at the highest level for 20 years, setting standards in terms of client satisfaction… The people on my team see the Ookla award as absolute confirmation of all their efforts, ambitions, hard work and talent. This is a sign that we did the right thing and it motivates us continue towards the goals we set in 2022 and the next 20 years,” he said.

“We were the first with broadband cable Internet in 2003 bringing significantly greater speed to the market compared to the DSL technology available at the time as the European standard. Two years later we took another step forward and introduced digital TV followed by digital land-line telephone services. We came out with the EON platform in 2017, a revolution in TV services compared to everything that came before it, and in 2018 we introduced the EON Smart Box, an absolute innovation, which turns every TV into a Smart TV. EON is now the leading TV platform on a market of 40 million people with SBB clients in Serbis among the first to get it. The unprecedented interest in the EON Smart Box continued to this day and we are proud of the fact that clients have been praising it as superior technology along with the awards it won. EON was developed inhouse by United Cloud experts,” Petrovic said.

He recalled that personalized user profiles were introduced in 2020 along with the announced start of personalization for all services.
According to Petrovic, the one thing missing in that chain of services are mobile phone services which would allow the company to offer all telecommunications services to its clients.
